About Tiger Lee Tiger Lee has just moved from San Diego, CA to St Augustine, FL to set up a permanent Pirate Photo Studio. Tiger Lee is an image warrior on the cutting edge. His unique digital style shows how equally comfortable he is with both computers and cameras. Self-taught in photography, graphic design and computers, he is living proof that success in digital art does not depend on formal education. His secret has been long hours of experimentation with Adobe Photoshop, from version 2.5 until CS3. Tiger’s fascination with gorgeous women has influenced his digital work; seductive models in outrageous costumes are his favorite subjects. He is most fond of creating mythical characters, such as angels, fairies, amazons and vampires. For inspiration, Tiger attends comic conventions, renaissance fairs, pirate cruises and fetish balls. Most traditional photographers only use computer manipulation to correct bad photos. Even if a photo is perfect, Tiger believes digital doctoring can make it even more intriguing. While other artists insert alternate backgrounds into their Photoshop creations, many fail to fully match the foreground and background images. A two-time winner of the Photoshop World Conference’s Guru Award, Tiger goes far beyond replacing backgrounds; he paints highlights and shadows to add dimension to his portraits. The images combine flawlessly. Tiger was one of the original competitors in the Iron Artist Contest. In addition to his professional design work, he teaches Advanced Image Manipulation at the Art Institute of California – San Diego. His 80 page photo book "Digerotic Art" was published in 2004 and his first calendar "Babes with Blades" by Heavy Metal Magazine was in 2005. He has also published the 2007 Hot Pirate Babes Calendar and is also currently finishing up the 2008 version. Pirate Magazine featured Tiger Lee in an 8 page article in Issue 3. Tiger runs a Dress Like a Pirate Photo Booth at many Pirate Fairs and events. He specialized in crafting pirate portraits printed on canvas similar to old master paints of the Golden Age of Piracy. When he’s not on his Mac G5 or shooting photographs, Tiger practices the Chinese martial arts of Wushu and Wing Chun.
